On Thursday, October 19th, we had the opportunity to train 15 instructors to teach Roots of Success in Five Keys schools and programs. Established by the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department in 2003 as the first charter school in the nation to operate inside of a county jail, Five Keys is a nationally recognized education organization that operates accredited charter schools and programs for youth and adults at 70 locations across California; providing underserved individuals with an opportunity to restart their education with a focus on Five Keys — education, employment, recovery, family and community. We have been working with Five Keys for three years and look forward to their bringing Roots of Success into jails and community-based settings throughout California.
