On Monday, July 9, eleven new instructors were certified to teach Roots of Success during a day-long training in the Bronx for The Osborne Association — a New York-based organization that works to transform the lives of individuals who have been in conflict with the law through public education, advocacy, and various employment training programs. The successful training added an exciting group of new instructors to the vibrant and growing Community of Practice in New York, which already includes active teachers in a number of job training programs, career/technical high schools, youth programs, community colleges, apprenticeship programs, re-entry programs, government agencies and community-based organizations — including eighteen instructors who were recently trained to teach at Rikers Island.
Congratulations to our newest group of certified Roots of Success instructors! Existing instructors can connect with your new peers online at the ‘Certified Instructors Only‘ page.
