In March, Raquel Pinderhughes traveled to Detroit to train fifteen instructors with Detroiters Working for Environmental Justice. DWEJ will be working at the community level to promote environmental literacy to people of all ages. Established in 1994, DWEJ was formed for the express purpose of addressing the disproportional burdens faced by people of color and low-income residents in environmentally distressed communities.
