This fall we had the opportunity to train and certify instructors in three fantastic programs to teach the Roots of Success course and enroll participants in our new Department of Labor recognized Pre-Apprenticeship.

Growing Home, located in Chicago, is a longtime Roots of Success partner. This year they will be teaching the Roots of Success course in Olive-Harvey Community College.

Benevolence Farm in North Carolina is a new Roots of Success provides a transitional employment and living program for women leaving North Carolina prisons, developing skills in sustainable farming, small business practices, food preparation and presentation in an environment that fosters improved physical, spiritual and financial health.

Garden Time, located in Rhode Island, is also a new partner. They provide garden programming for incarcerated men and women at the Rhode Island Adult Correctional Institution and are piloting a Green Reentry Job Training for formerly incarcerated Rhode Islanders.

We are very excited to be working with all three of these impactful programs and their inspiring staff.
