The surprise announcement of a grant to Roots of Success by Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) was highlighted in a recent article in PG&E’s news source Currents.
PG&E showed support for the Full Circle Fund, a San Francisco-based organization launched in 2001 that brings together corporate sponsors and working professionals to help non-profits grow, by selecting two of their grantees, including Roots of Success, for additional grant funding at Full Cirlce Fund’s Demo Day event in July.
Chad Flores, Deputy Director of Roots of Success, praised Full Circle and PG&E in the article, explaining that they “provided not just funding, but skills that Roots of Success, started by a college professor and operating out of her home, could never afford.”
Initiatives and tasks Roots of Success hopes to achieve with the PG&E grant include outreaching to programs serving veterans, building marketing materials, developing web site content and expanding the reach of the organization.
