This October, Roots of Success participated in an event as part of the St. Louis Green Business Challenge.
“The St. Louis Green Business Challenge is honored to introduce Roots of Success here,” says Jean Ponzi, who manages the Challenge and hosted the ROS team in a webinar for St. Louis businesses.
Since 2010, the St. Louis Green Business Challenge, a program of Missouri Botanical Garden, has delivered “Triple Bottom Line” results (fiscal, social and environmental) to businesses of all types and sizes across the St. Louis region. The Challenge provides a forum for businesses to incorporate sustainable practices that improve financial performance and engage their employees.
For the webinar, titled “Growing Green Jobs for St. Louis,” Roots of Success was joined by our colleague and partner, Kate Gannon, who teaches Roots of Success in the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Windy City Harvest program.
“Sustainability is increasingly a value and standard of practice across our regional economy, with programs like the Challenge and our U.S. Green Building Council – Missouri Gateway Chapter leading companies, non-profits and municipalities in making ‘green’ work. ROS is a powerful resource to ground equity in our efforts!”
