This week the St Patrick Center in St Louis, Missouri kicked off its second cohort of Roots of Success students. The following was written by instructor Basia Skudrzyk:
There are challenges with the way solutions have been put into practice in the environmental improvement arena. Roots of Success Environmental Literacy & Job Training Program is specifically designed for people who have come from front line communities that are experiencing public health problems. 15 of our clients begin the Roots of Success course today learning the root causes of environmental discord and to identify solutions that are thoughtful in addressing not only environmental and public health challenges, but social ones as well.
Roots of Success Environmental Literacy & Job Training Program is an empowering experience that we are excited to share with our clients. By the time our clients graduate from this program, they will be exposed to a graduate level course and be prepared for 125+ green jobs. It’s important for our clients to be inspired and have access to meaningful and sustainable work. We prepare people for hundreds of jobs that will help make the world a better place. Through green environmental literacy – we improve the environment, our communities and public quality.
